4H members shine at horse show
The Texas 4-H State Horse Show was held at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene July 21-27. Hays County 4-H was represented by an experienced delegation of young riders who participated among more than 1,000 4-H exhibitors from across the state.
Cassandra Twining, a member of the Dripping Springs 4-H Club, placed 10th in the Pole Bending contest. Taya Schwiening, also a Dripping Springs 4-H Club member, placed 15th in the contest.
Kaitlyn Eben, a member of the Buda 4-H Club, placed 10th in the Barrel Racing Contest; and Dripping Springs 4-H Club member Ella Gohlke placed 2nd in the Barrel Racing contest and 15th in the Stakes Race.
