Colonel addresses class

On Oct. 28, Hill Country Christian School’s government class attended Col. Allen West’s speech at Feast Home School in San Antonio.
West spoke about the need for Americans to be educated so that they are aware of their personal liberties and are able fight to retain those rights.
He also noted that the role of the government is to protect people’s inalienable rights, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
West cited examples such as Thomas Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptists, which reassured them of their right of religious freedom.
