Lee Colee’ Studios looking for girl to play ‘Scout’

Coming this fall to the Price Senior Center as a holiday fundraiser for the facility is The Black Diamond Cabaret Theatre production of Harper Lee’s classic, “To Kill A Mockingbird.”
All roles have been cast for the show except the leading role of the little 7-year-old daughter, Scout.
Director Lee Colee’ hopes to cast the role with an actress from San Marcos. Auditions are being held on
Wednesday evening, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Lee Colee’ Studios in Wimberley. Youngsters should be at least 10 years old and very small for their age. They will be asked to read from the script after a short interview. “I’m looking for an intense personality that is kind of quirky," says Colee’.
No previous experience is needed but the role requires a youngster with emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate effectively.
