World Car Kia donates to HCWC
From Staff Reports
World Car Mazda-Kia donated $500 to HCWC’s Children’s Advocacy Center, known as Roxanne’s House, and $500 to HCWC’s McCoy Family Violence Shelter on July 23, 2014.
“Our We Care Program donates profits from our sales to give back to the communities around us,” explained Bill Keyes, General Manager. “Every month we give to schools, sports teams, health organizations, animal shelters, cultural events and organizations like the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center. “
World Car wants to meet the needs of everyone in the surrounding communities of New Braunfels, San Marcos, Wimberley, Seguin, Kyle, Canyon Lake, Bulverde and Spring Branch. Employees make suggestions and research organizations for this ongoing program.
“Local support is so very important now,” said Melissa Rodriguez, HCWC Director of Development and Community Partnerships. “State and federal funding have diminished over the years, and the population in Central Texas is booming. Since 2007, HCWC has seen a 68 percent increase in demand for our services.”
