Get the best deals in town on gently used books Oct. 18-20 as the Friends of the San Marcos Public Library will hold its giant, semi-annual, used book sale at the San Marcos City Park Recreation Hall. Fridays hours are 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. with hardbacks sold for $2 and paperbacks for $1. Saturdays hours are from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. with $1 hardbacks and 50 paperbacks. Sundays sale starts at 1 p.m. and shoppers can take a whole bag full of books for $5 until 5 p.m. All proceeds from the sale benefit the library.
