The aim of Girl Scouting is to help girls grow strong, and this was truly evident at the Girl Scouts of the San Marcos Area Service Units Mother/Daughter Picnic which was held at the First United Methodist Church on Mothers Day weekend.
As each family arrived, mothers were encouraged to build up their daughters by creating a giant poster filled with the positive character traits they see in their girl scout.
The girls also made a poster and they enjoyed writing positive words to describe what they admire most in their mothers. The event also included blanket picnics, silly games, and a mother daughter look-alike contest.
