Keith Wayne Leamer
Keith Wayne Leamer, 61, of Houston, passed away June 28. Keith spent his early childhood in Los Cruces, New Mexico, and later, his family moved to Weslaco, Texas where Keith excelled at basketball, band and Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Weslaco High School in 1971 and earned his degree in business from Southwest Texas State University in 1975. He lived in Austin, Dallas, Miami, San Marcos, and finally settled in Houston. Within the San Marcos community, he was active with the Jaycees and Chamber of Commerce. As a professional, Keith worked for Certified Leasing Corporation, Gulf Business Forms, Inc., and TRI-C Business Forms, Inc.
Welcoming Keith into Heaven are his parents, Ross W. and Grace L. Leamer. Carrying Keith’s spirit in life are his aunt, Marian I. Wood, two uncles, John H. Robinson and Harold M. Robinson, and several cousins, all of Ohio; Linda Doane Porterfield, Bill Gossett, Benny Coffey, Beverly Barr Butschek and Shannon Hardcastle Moses, Keith’s dearest friends. Keith was a person who never met a stranger. He had many friends with whom he upheld the truest commitments of friendship over time and distance, which illustrated the value of those friendships.
A celebration of Keith’s Life will be hosted Saturday, Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, 77079. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation may be made in Keith’s memory to The American Diabetes Association or a charity of your selection.
