I’m writing in reference to the November 22 headline article discussing the probable soon needed Red Flag (Fire) Warning in Hays County.
As discussed in the article, the adoption of a Community Wildland/Urban Interface Protection Plan by the Hays County Commissioners is indeed “especially timely” given the drying conditions combined with the continuing urban sprawl of the county’s larger cities.

As lawmakers convene in January for the 85th session of the Texas Legislature, no decisions will be more important than those that impact the thousands of Texas children and their families who are cared for by children’s health systems across our state each year.
These systems are working together in new and innovative ways to increase the quality of care for Texas children and to provide that care closer to their families’ homes, all while improving the value and efficiency of care delivery.
