"Texas Flood" avoids obstacles en route to 2014 Texas Water Safari title

Favored teams in the Texas Water Safari are quick to downplay talk of them winning the race until they actually touch the Seadrift Seawall.
Anything can happen between San Marcos and Seadrift as teams traverse the San Marcos River and Guadalupe River en route to the San Antonio Bay. Rocks, stumps, logjams and an unforgiving paddle across the bay to the finish line humbled many past paper champions.
Wade Binion and his teammates, who won the 2014 Water Safari in 40 hours and 3 minutes, encountered their biggest obstacle about 10 miles outside of Luling.
