Goodnight retreat sparks ideas

Administrators and staff of Goodnight Junior High School met Thursday for their annual academic assessment of the campus.

The meeting was facilitated by Principal Steve Dow. According to Assistant Principal Beverly Smith, the goal of the annual Goodnight retreat "was to celebrate the successes of the prior year, build on concepts and strategies that equaled student success, and formulate new ideas for the upcoming year."

Some of the possibilities discussed included a Language Arts Family Night, a Math Family Night, a Bullying Education Night and teacher appreciation breakfasts once a month. Curriculum updates were also on the agenda, along with other business items.
