Snodgrass new regent of Institute of Organzational Management

— Phyllis Snodgrass, president of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to the Board of Regents of Institute for Organization Management, a four-year professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The institute is held at five sites each year – four in the summer and one in the winter. Most students attend the one-week sessions at the same site each year, building a network of industry professionals who provide year-round, peer-level support.
The institute’s board of regents serves on behalf of the national board of trustees.
Each board of regents is responsible for implementing all policies and directives from the national board of trustees at its individual institute site. Each regent is an institute graduate nominated by their peers, and will serve for a designated term of up to two years.
“A strong board of regents is essential to Institute’s success,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, vice president, Institute, U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “These volunteers drive site attendance, provide recommendations for program improvement, and serve as an on-site resource for Institute participants.”
