Ryan Perkins (center right) was elected president of the Friends of the San Marcos Cemetery at the organization's annual meeting Jan. 27. He takes over the reins of the group from out-going president Dianne Pape (center left). Rounding out the organization's 2010 leadership are (left to right) Pat Murdock, publicity chair; Rose Ayers, treasurer; Pape, From Here to Eternity 5-K walk/run chair; Perkins, president; Linda Coker, the Friends' liaison to the San Marcos Cemetery Commission; and Jane Hughson, secretary. The local nonprofit's mission is to preserve and improve the historic San Marcos Cemetery.
