The San Marcos Lions Club recently donated funds to the Greater San Marcos Youth Council and the Hays-Caldwell Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. Pictured left to right, above, are Al Green, San Marcos Lions Club president; Eddie Warner, representing the Greater San Marcos Youth Council and Carla Merritt, representing the Hays Caldwell Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. The Lions Club meets every Friday at noon at the San Marcos Activity Center. All funds raised by the club at its City Park Tube Rental and its annual Mexican Dinner, this year on Friday, Feb. 3, are returned to the community in the form of donations to charties, social services and youth groups.
