Mental Illness Awareness

Mayor Susan Narvaiz recently issued a proclamation for Mental Illness Awareness Week to raise community awareness of the extent and the treatability of mental illnesses.  The National Alliance on Mental Illness and Scheib Opportunity Center held special activities during the week, including exhibits of artwork and poetry by clients at City Hall and the library. Left to right in front are Mayor Narvaiz, Jerry Thibert, Edward Gilmere, Thomas Kuny and Cindy Lou Sibley. In the back row are are city council members Pam Couch, Fred Terry, Chris Jones, Kim Porterfield and John Thomaides.
