Daisy Chavez, a Sac N Pac employee, is honored by Mayor Susan Narvaiz for her quick action in coming to the aid of a school bus full of three and four year olds after the driver of a pickup truck took a wide turn, smashed into the bus and then ran off on Sept. 10. Chavez was traveling behind the bus in a car with her children when the wreck happened and fuel started spilling from the bus. She immediate pulled over and helped bus driver Diana Sanchez, right, evacuate the bus and comfort the children, who were unhurt. (Photo by Don Anders)
