SMHS choir members advance
Seven members of the San Marcos High School choir particiated this week in the second round of the Texas All-State Choir auditions at Pflugerville High School. Five of the seven are advancing to the third round of the four-step audtition process. The students who made the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region Choir for Region 18 are: Dwaylan Applewhite, 1st Chair, Tenor 1, Sam Heaton: 2nd Chair, Bass 2, Gabe Deleon: 5th Chair, Bass 2, Abby Bowers: 2nd Chair, Soprano 2 and Katy Whitbeck: 8th Chair, Soprano 2.
