Wal-Mart recently donated $5,000 to Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) for the furnishing of the hospital’s new Parent Sleep Room, a part of the new nine bassinette, Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). “We are incredibly thankful for Wal-Mart’s generosity,” Gary Jepson, CTMC president and CEO, said. “I know that the parents will really appreciate such an accommodating and relaxing environment as they begin these exciting next steps of their lives.” The community is invited to a free preview event on Sunday, Nov. 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. Guests will be treated to tours, hors d'oeuvres, family entertainment and a chance to win $1,500 in prizes.
