Members of the Hays County Historical Commission (HCHC) recently donated copies of Ofelia Vasquez Philo's oral history which is part of the "Voices of Hays County History" series. There is another DVD, Captain Jack, which is a documentary about the life of Texas Ranger Jack Hays. Shown left to right are SMCISD Assistant Superintendent Yolanda Almendarez, Ofelia Vasquez Philo of HCHC, Superintendent Dr. Patty Shafer, Kate Johnson, HCHC president, Richard Kidd, director and editor of both films, and Ronda Stonecipher (director of Instructional Technology and Libraries for SMCISD).
