Victoria boy too young to drive wins car

Victoria — Driving on down the highway isn't an option for a 14-year-old boy who won a new car but legally is too young to operate it.

Kace (case) Gandee of Victoria on Tuesday took possession of the 2010 Dodge Challenger, saying he was still "in shock."

His Nov. 25 phone call was the lucky one among more than 200,000 making him the grand prize winner in a Cartoon Network sweepstakes. Gandee also received a check to help cover vehicle taxes.

Gandee was allowed Tuesday afternoon to start the vehicle, to the cheers of fellow students and faculty on hand when the car was delivered to his school.

David Reeves says his stepson was excited before about trying to get his license, at 15, "but now he's chomping at the bit."
