P&Z favors seafood restaurant over food truck by near Rio Vista

The proposed food trailer court on the corner of Riverside Drive and Cheatham Street near Rio Vista Park did get approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission this past week, but it doesn’t look like the idea will come to fruition. Instead, a seafood restaurant may be in future plans.

Conley outlines Hays Transportation Plan at ISM gathering

The Hays County Transportation Plan is attempting to change the traditional flow of traffic throughout the county, and if the request for funding is approved at the TXDOT Transportation Commission meeting in two weeks, the Yarrington Road exit off IH-35 could become a hub in San Marcos.

If a family member, neighbor, or someone in the grocery store collapsed of sudden cardiac arrest, would you know what to do? Of the nearly 400,000 people that suffer sudden cardiac arrest outside of a hospital each year, the vast majority do not receive bystander CPR and less than 11 percent survive.
