Fish may be basically divided into two classes — warm-water fish and cold-water fish.
Last week I wrote about winter fishing.
The fish that I talked about (bass, sunfish, crappie, white bass, saltwater speckled trout and redfish) are all warm-water species. Fishing for them can be tough in the dead of winter when waters are very cold. Therefore, find warm waters like spring source rivers (i.e. San Marcos River) or power plant lakes that discharge hot water into the reservoirs (i.e. Bastrop, Fayette County, Calaveras and Braunig).
