Theresa “Tess” Roberta Margerum Norris, 85, passed away on April 13, 2007. She was born on July 20, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Norris graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. in 1942, and she married William Elmore (Henry) Norris, Jr. on Oct. 7, 1944.
She was a resident of San Marcos since 1951, and she was active in community work, local and state politics and was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church in San Marcos.
Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband Henry Norris and her granddaughter Virginia Norris. She is survived by her children Tom, Susie and Bob; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16 followed by interment at the San Marcos Cemetery.
