Like most Texas rivers, the San Marcos River is not noted for an abundance of big bass. Small, narrow rivers like the San Marcos don’t have the huge inhabitance of prime bass large lakes do. That’s why all the 13-pound plus bass in the ShareLunker Program have been caught in lakes, not rivers.
