USHCC 29th Annual National Convention & Business Expo

Richard Garza, president of the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was selected as a recipient of this year's Executive Chamber Development Scholarship sponsored by the Sprint Foundation and GEICO. This program is one of the various efforts by the USHCC Foundation, to facilitate resources, information and training for the local chamber network. By participating in the National Convention, the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and its president had the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the business association sector. It also served as a forum for the chamber to expand our network nationally and gain the opportunity to interact with potential members, sponsors and strategic partners.

This year's USHCC 29th Annual National Convention & Business Expo took place in Sacramento, Calif., Sept. 24-27.



LBJ Museum of San Marcos

The LBJ Museum of San Marcos joins Texas State University in its extended celebration. “Remembering LBJ and His Legacy: Local Recollections - An Oral History Project Exhibit” will remain on display throughout this academic year. Museum hours are Thursday, Friday & Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. The Museum is located at 131 N. Guadalupe on the Courthouse Square. Group tours can be arranged by calling Museum Director Scott Jordan, 353-3300, or visiting www.lbjmuseum.com. Free admission.
