College Football: Robinson, Mayo big in season opener
It’s remarkable that Texas State senior punter Zach Robinson’s right leg is still attached after last Saturday’s game. Robinson got in quite the workout as the Bobcats beat Southern Miss 22-15.
Since Texas State’s offense struggled to move the ball against the Golden Eagles’ stout defensive front, Robinson constantly had to be on high alert. Robinson punted a total of nine times against USM, including eight in a nine-drive stretch from midway through the second quarter until 8:19 remained in the final period.
