Evelyn Maxine Gordon

Evelyn Maxine Gordon passed away Feb. 28, 2013 at the age of 84. Known to most as Maxine, she is survived by her loving daughter Linda Kay Chaddock of Pleasanton; grandson Justin Moore of San Marcos; granddaughter Erin Chaddock of San Antonio and doting brother Charles Thompson of Martindale. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Gordon, brother Bill Thompson and her parents.
Maxine graduated from Prairie Lea High School and Southwest Texas State University. Along with teaching at Comal I.S.D. for 41 years, family and friends were Maxine’s passion and joy. She also loved to read, watch her two favorite sports teams, the Cowboys and the Spurs, and visit with any and everyone who came by.
She was an amazing wife for 64 years, a proud sister to her two brothers, a supportive mother and an extraordinary grandmother to her two grandchildren who will be cherished an remembered by all.
Memorial Services will be held at 11a.m., Monday, March 11, at the Staples United Methodist Church in Staples with the Rev. Barbara Dyke officiating.
