WIMBERLEY — The ambiance of Fourth of July weekend at the 68th Wimberley VFW Rodeo was pure American. Thousands of rodeo enthusiasts encompassed Chester Franklin Arena each night and it was truly a special scene and a wonderful way to celebrate America’s Independence Day.

Emceed by Creed Roberts, rodeo fans enjoyed fun and outdoor festivities from July 3-6.

“The Wimberley VFW Rodeo is one of the most successful rodeos, but it’s also one of the largest outdoor rodeos in Texas,” Wimberley Mayor Bob Flocke said last Friday night. “Last night was standing-room only and tonight it’s looking pretty good.”
