HalleyAnna Finlay’s new album ‘completely me’
HalleyAnna Finlay was either going to play music or be an Aquarena Springs aquamaid.
But music comes a little more naturally.
Her father, Kent Finlay, owns the Cheatham Street Warehouse where legends like George Strait got his start. She grew up around singer/songwriters like Terri Hendrix, Adam Carrol and Todd Snider.
“I picked up the guitar when I was nine years old because I wanted to practice writing songs and performing,” Finlay said. “Everything in San Marcos that I got to experience, like the river and the music, inspired me to do my own music and write my own songs.”
