Hays Caldwell Womens Center auction raises more than $72,000
The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC), a local not-for-profit organization which offers free counseling and advocacy services to victims of family violence, sexual assault and child abuse residing within Hays and Caldwell counties, recently hosted its 29th Annual Auction in the LBJ Student Center Ballroom at Texas State University.
This year’s event brought together supporters, clients, organization funders and staff for an exciting evening which included a live and two silent auctions.
The auction successfully raised more than $72,000 in funding for HCWC, funds which are critical in providing direct services to the center’s clients.
According to Margaret Dunn, long-time supporter and one of more than 400 auction attendees, “Throughout the years the Women’s Center has consistently addressed the growing needs for services in Hays and Caldwell counties.
