It doesn't take much to make fishing that much better
The inland fisheries division of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has a mission to making fishing better.
There are many ways in which this can be done. One simple yet effective management technique, in lakes that lack structure, is to use fish attractors to concentrate cover seeking fish such as largemouth bass, thus making fish easier to locate and hence improve fishing success.
A variety of materials and designs are available, but a tried-and-tested technique is to use weighted “brushpiles.” In fact, studies have shown that simply using bundles of locally available small trees and branches is a cost effective way to provide high quality structure for fish.
