Police use too much firepower on deer
Talk about animal cruelty. What I saw yesterday morning (Wednesday) made me sick to my stomach. There were two police cars, two or three cops, shooting a helpless injured deer. While I was stopped at the traffic light on Hunter Road and Wonder World Drive, I heard five gun shots. After the light turned green and I left, I heard two or three more shots.
I saw this cop with his pistol drawn shooting this deer while the other cops were egging him on. The poor deer was kicking and squirming while the cop kept shooting at him from about 20 to 25 feet away.
When I called the police chief (he’s never there), the dispatcher already knew about the incident, so she let me talk to the sergeant. The sergeant told me the officers had only fired three shots. That’s a lie. He said he would look into it but internal investigations are always in their favor.
What was more alarming is that that place is a walking trail. Someone could have gotten hit with all the shots being fired. I was not the only one who witnessed it — there were like twenty motorists all around me. Why didn’t the sergeant check their pistols to see how many rounds were fired? And the city is going to hire four more policemen? What is this, a welfare program for the city?
This city is going to broke someday. After all the newcomers have gone back to their respective cities with an improving economy there, guess who is going to be left here holding the tab? Only us foolish enough to remain here.
By the way Mr. Stevens, I concur with you whole heartedly (Daily Record, July 31, A prince is born, so why should we care?). Who gives a darn about the royal family? All monarchs do is take money from the peons, and well-off so they can live a luxurious lifestyle. There are babies born every single minute in this world, and no one cares. What really upset me was that there were five days with non stop media coverage. I missed all of my favorite MSNBC programs that usually bash all the Republicans.
