Public invited to nominate county employees for honor

Each year Hays County shows its appreciation for its employees by honoring a select few with its “Above & Beyond” award for exemplary customer service.
The county will be accepting nominations from the public through 5 p.m. April 11.
“We value customer service, and if an employee was especially helpful to you in 2012, we’d like that person to be considered for the award,” Hays County Human Resources Director Dee Dee Baen said. “A citizens’ review committee will select the winners from employees nominated by the public and by other employees.”
This is the sixth year the award program has been offered. Awards are typically presented to one percent or less of the employee population, which numbers approximately 800.
Nomination forms are available at county offices and for download at www.co.hays.tx.us/appreciation.
The form is due in the Hays County Human Resources Office by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 11, via fax at 393-2227, email at hr@co.hays.tx.us or hand delivery/mail to the Human Resources Department, Suite 1063, Hays County Government Center, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos 78666.
Mailed forms must be postmarked by April 11.
