TPS gets high score from firm
Texas Preparatory School (TPS) has been ranked among the best in public elementary schools in San Marcos by Children at Risk, a Houston-based nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life for children.
"We are grateful for the achievements of all of the children, families, teachers and staff," Mark Terry, principal and superintendent of TPS said. "Texas Preparatory School is committed to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. It's been a great year for our kids, and we're looking forward to another one."
The Texas Education Agency has granted Texas Preparatory School permission to expand and educate more students. The new Texas Preparatory School at Austin campus will open this fall, serving grades K-3. Each year, the school will add a grade level until it becomes a K-6 campus.
In addition to the elementary school, both campuses will also offer a tuition-based pre-k school readiness program.
