Trigger Point Yoga works wonders for tight muscles
Last week the San Marcos Runner's Club had Ana Johnson as a guest speaker for their monthly meeting.
Ana is a Trigger Point Yoga instructor and gave the members and guests a few tips on how to use her techniques to help them in running, or just general alignment and release of tight muscles.
I have had the opportunity to take a few classes from Ana and give this Trigger Point Yoga a try. I was a little hesitant at doing yoga stances that you think about when you see yoga instructors in some very strange contortions.
This is not like that at all. The method of Trigger Point Yoga is to find those areas in the body that may be tight, sore, out of alignment or bothersome to certain activities, such as running.
Ana has you relax, take off your shoes and follow the demonstrations of Trigger Point Yoga.
