The Heart of Texas Chorus and the Texas State University College of Fine Arts and Communication are proud to present the 11th annual “United We Sing” concert, on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 3 p.m. at Evans Auditorium at Texas State University.
This free concert includes an outstanding collection of performers who will pay tribute to America’s military and the heroes and victims of the events of Sept. 11, 2001.  This year’s performers include the award-winning Heart of Texas men’s chorus, the award-winning ladies trio Destination, the award-winning men’s quartet Sterling and the men’s a cappella quartet Kickback
The Hill Country Youth Chorus will perform, along with San Marcos High School Soloist Mercedes Gonzalez, Hill Country Christian School singer/dancer Aviana Burkepile, Dr. Richard Cheatham and many more.
A key feature of this event is always the “Community Chorus,” which combines the voices of many local singers along with the nearly dozen different performing groups on stage.
If you like to sing, then this is a great opportunity for you to share in the joy, honor and patriotism of this event on the stage.
Rehearsals for the community chorus are on Thursday, Aug. 29 and Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Texas State Music Building, Room 222, from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. Sheet music and learning tracks are available for all singers.
