In the article entitled “Captain Jack: History in Focus,” originally published on June 30, the actor who played historical figure Jack Hays was incorrectly named. The actor’s name is actually Scott McMahon.
McMahon is a historical re-enactor at Washington on the Brazos.
The 30-minute film was commissioned by the Hays County Historical Commission and will be provided to area schools and the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco, HCHC officials said.
