Two stories in the Daily Record in recent days have contained inaccurate information.
The Sunday story entitled “On the ALERRT” stated that John Curnutt is a former deputy with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. In fact, he is a San Marcos Police Officer assigned who also serves as Director of Operations for ALERRT.
The second misstatement occurred in Wednesday’s edition in a story about a Hays County Jail inmate who has asked for a new trial. The story said Shawn Shipman’s motion would be heard by District Judge Charles Ramsay when in fact the presiding judge will be Judge Jack Robison.
