— It is good to see continued interest in downtown San Marcos.
The city’s Downtown Association has long been an important part of efforts to better the Central Business District.
The local Main Street program, too, has played an integral role in encouraging the restoration of older buildings and sponsoring positive community and tourism initiatives.
The “Smart Code” session coming up Monday night may also be an effective way to help protect the good and improve that which is not so good in our downtown.
Along with the discussion of rules, design and urban planning, how about a solid plan for additional parking?
Perhaps that should be the first item on the agenda. RHR
