What can be said?
Even those television commentators who seem to never run out of words to describe the latest happenings of the day were at a loss Thursday as they talked about the deadly shootings at Fort Hood.
What sense, after all, can be made of yet another senseless killing spree?
A nutcase with a gun takes it upon himself to solve the world’s problems (or perhaps his own mental problems) by killing innocent people.
It’s difficult to defend against that kind of political or religious craziness – even on a U.S. Army base with lots of well-trained and well-armed troops.
Texas has had its share of mass killings in the past few decades, but the Lone Star locale is not to blame.
Blame can only be placed upon those individuals who commit these acts of cold-blooded murder. RHR
