Gone are the days of having to travel to Austin or San Antonio to receive quality health care.
Actually, those days have been gone a long, long time. Changing public perception, however, is sometimes a very slow task.
Even as local health care has made grand strides in quality and service over the past several years, there remain those folks in the crowd ready to offer reasons why they would still be heading for the big city if they ever required serious medical attention.
Well, it seems about time to retire that line of thinking.
San Marcos and Hays County have become the center of attention for quality health care organizations armed with the newest equipment, brightest doctors and most dedicated nurses.
Central Texas Medical Center has long provided quality health care here.
Its soon-to-be-open Women’s Center, along with the new Seton Medical Center Hays located in Kyle, are two more good reasons why San Marcos and Hays County residents need not travel far to be treated with professionalism, quality and caring. RHR
