Bobby Barnard and Sundance Records & Tapes have long been synonymous.
That he has decided to finally step away from his beloved record store and explore other life experiences is certainly understandable.
But for many of us who have been San Marcos residents for more years than we may want to admit, it is a loss.
While Sundance will likely continue its run as one of the most well-stocked, unique, comfortable and welcoming music stores in the area, Barnard’s absence will not go unnoticed.
For his love of music, his hard work and the special personality he has long brought to this city’s Central Business District, we wish this music man the best.
But Barnard will be missed, and perhaps a bit of our youth along with him. RHR
