Debbie Daniel says that the aim of the Grand Ole Gospel Sing is just to get out there and showcase the music. And that’s exactly what the San Marcos-headquartered event is doing.
“The Grand Ole Gospel Sing” is hitting the road again, and will be in Manchaca at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at the Manchaca Baptist Church.
The “Gospel Sing,” consisting of 10 different performing groups is on-the-road this season, just completed two monthly programs in San Marcos and San Antonio.
“There's so much good talent in this area that needs to be heard and this is a wonderful opportunity for folks to see and hear some of the finest Christian musicians Central Texas has to offer,” Daniel, Gospel Sing producer, said.
New Covenant, a quartet headquartered at the Manchaca Baptist Church, is also part of the Gospel Sing “Cast of Performers.” This will be a special evening for them as they sing at home with their fellow gospel team members.
Daniel invites the public to attend this evening of “good ole foot stompin', toe-tappin', hand-clappin, voice-raisin' gospel music.”
Admission is free and there will be a nursery provided for three year olds and under. The Manchaca Baptist Church is located at 1215 W. FM 1626, Manchaca, Texas, 78652.
The next three events after June will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Calvary Baptist, San Marcos; San Antonio First Church of the Nazarene, Oct. 5, and the last of the season will be at Manchaca again on Nov. 2.
