San Marcos — Students from Crockett Elementary recently raised more than $1,300 for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As one the school’s Early Act First Knight Program service projects, the students gained sponsorships through Math-a-Thon, in which they worked out math problems in exchange for donations from family and friends. The project was spearheaded by Mrs. Robin Burr and her class, pictured above.
