San Marcos — Dozens of former employees returned to the former Aquarena Springs Resort over the weekend to visit, swap stories and get a glimpse of what has happened there since Texas State University acquired the property and turned it into an educational center.

The weekend also featured a mixer at the city’s Conference Center where many of the “Aquarena Alumni” laid out mementos of their former jobs in and out of the water.
