Father’s Day is an opportunity to shower Dad with extra love and attention. Special outings and heartfelt gifts typically are part of the celebration. Some children may want to go above and beyond by whipping up a meal that Dad is sure to enjoy — particularly a father who spends his fair share of time by the stove or in front of the grill.

San Marcos-based podcast network Riffage Media recently released the second season of its science-fiction drama “The Day Everything Changed,” a follow up to season one of the network’s first audio drama. The five-episode season will be available to listen to for free in its entirety on most major podcast platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Audible.

To celebrate National Pride Month, Schutze Scores Productions presents Laughs in the Loft: Pride Edition at Roughhouse Brewing on Saturday, June 25. This ticketed stand-up showcase will highlight LGBTQ+ comics including Jade Esteban Estrada, Angelina Martin, Dylan Sullivan, Clara Blackstone and Max Foster.

This recipe called Misty Seas features Supertunia Mini Vista selections Indigo, Violet Star and White all surrounding Graceful Grasses Blue Mohawk rush used as an elegant thriller.

A display at the recent Young’s Plant Farm Annual Garden Tour caused quite a stir not only within the industry that day, but on my Facebook page as well. I would like to take credit saying it was my beautiful photography, but to be honest, when you look at a planting and say something like, “Holy wow” or “Oh wow,” it is always the plants. The display was really a trifecta of award winners that just happened to come together and the crème de la crème was Blue Mohawk rush or juncus.

A feeling of euphoria came over “The Garden Guy” and I muttered to myself that my work on earth was done. Okay, I am kidding to a point. I am trialing two new agastaches which I admit I am falling in love with. They are Meant to Bee Queen Nectarine and Meant to Bee Royal Raspberry. I’ll write about them in the coming months. My moment with a visit down Euphoria Lane, however, came when I went to Proven Winners Agastache page and saw almost a dozen selections including the one, which I consider the grandaddy, the foundation of all pollinator gardens worth their salt, and that is Blue Fortune.

With summer approaching, you may be thinking about making some health changes, but not sure where to start. Most of us are aware of the benefits related to daily exercise. Not only does your heart get a massive health-boost, but your entire body feels stronger and your stress level is reduced. So, if you know all this, and have most likely experienced the positive effects of a daily workout routine yourself, why is it so hard to stick to a healthy pattern? The truth is, we usually have such busy work and family schedules that daily exercise is the first to fall off our list of to-dos.
