Dahlia Does Design: De-clutter your kitchen

Q: Help! I have way too many spices and seasonings and have a very small kitchen with not a lot of storage.  Half of the seasonings are in the small jars and half are in the bags you get in the bulk spices.  What is a good storage solution?

Thanks,

Overwhelmed in Spices

A: Dear Overwhelmed,

Obviously you like to cook, and that’s wonderful.

December Yard of the Month

Spring Lake Garden Club’s yard of the month for December is an example of creative planting on a small property. Marked by a red front door, the street view of 2029 Ridge View Drive in San Marcos identifies a distinctive residence in the midst of a recently developed subdivision, Franklin Square. In just four years, Jones Jones and Corey Miller have transformed this landscape from a small exposed front yard to a private area screened by low-maintenance native plants attractive in all seasons.
