Doggett has let us down

I have been watching Lloyd Doggett’s votes for 10 years. He always votes for higher taxes (for us) and bigger spending (for him).

In 2007 millions of people melted down the US Capitol switchboard to prevent Democrats (including Doggett) and John McCain from making 20 million illegal aliens, legal. We already tried that in the 1980’s “just give amnesty for three million and Congress will never do that again.” They tried again with more millions and when it doesn’t pass they bring it up again. The next time will be in 2010.

Doggett voted against $787 billion in TARP twice before the 2008 election.

As soon as re-elected he voted for it and it passed. That money was used to bailout and nationalize banks, insurance and car companies.

He also voted for the Stimulus bill, more billions to fund unnecessary programs with money taken from taxpayers who are having a hard time with their own bills.

Human events reported 10/12/09 that Doggett voted against wording to be inserted in Homeland security to prevent Guantanimo detainees being released in USA. So I see he is OK with releasing terrorists on American soil.

On 11/5/09 Democrats (including Doggett) stripped the wording from the Patriot act to allow watching the “lone wolf terrorist” on the same day as the Fort Hood terrorist killed 13 and wounded 30. Does this really make Americans safer?

Democrats (including Doggett) voted for the cap and trade bill in the House. This will raise Taxes & energy costs in every facet of our lives.

Over the summer millions of people came out to Townhall meetings and Tea Parties to tell Congress that we can’t afford to spend the grandkids taxes before they are even born. I have never seen that happen in the US before. In fact, a rally happened in DC where tens of thousands showed up with five days of notice.

In spite of the people’s objections on 11/7/09 the Democrats (including Doggett) voted 220 (1 R) -215 (39 D’s) Health Care for Americans – HR 3962 (1990 pages) actually takes control of 1/6th of the entire American economy and gives them control over everything the people do because the government is paying for HC. I would feel better about it if this bill didn’t exempt Congress, Unions and ACORN from the plan.

It isn’t good enough for Doggett and his family but he wants to vote us on it. Thanks but no thanks.

Each one of these bills will by themselves raise our cost of living to never before seen levels, cost millions of jobs and inflate our dollars. Add them all up with the Fed printing 4 trillion dollars of money that the Congress has not prevented and you have a disaster in the making.

In the 10 years I have been watching Lloyd Doggett, I have never seen him vote with the Constitution. Congress will stop only when we start voting for Constitutional representatives. Let’s start with voting Doggett out.
