— Editor,
I read the latest liberal lampoon shot at Sarah Palin by Tina Dupuy. I was struck by some of her rhetoric and thought how easily the same principles could be applied to the current occupant of the Whitehouse. Using her words and changing the identities we would get this result, which on the whole seems about as accurate as anything she had to offer:
"Being just super and awesome Mr. President, is not what makes the lame stream media obsessed with you. It's actually the opposite. Being horribly flawed and recklessly stupid gives people something to use all those "barrelsful of ink" on. If President Obama were competent we'd be bored with him by now. There would be no story. It's his incompetence coupled with this brazen lust for power and lack of any self-irony or doubt that sparks the press. It's certainly not his ideas, because they are not his nor ideas. They're a rehash of the failed progressive policies of the 1930s etc,. . ."
Liberals just need to get over the popularity of Sarah Palin. She is what she is, and for crying out loud McCain lost the election. The liberals got what they wanted; they own Washington and yet they can't seem to get anything done. Their policies are being rejected by mainstream America, and their only answer is that it's W's fault. It reminds be of the old 1960's Volkswagen commercial, "How long can we keep selling you this line America."
Most of us are not cultists that cling to President Obama or Sarah Palin. We just want a government that will get out of the way, so we can get this country back on its feet. Heaven knows that the current gaggle of politicians we have elected aren't going to get it done. Whether Sarah Palin figures into that equation or not remains to be seen. Frankly the constant harping by the liberals makes me think she has more staying power than I would have attributed to her.
