I'd just like to say a few words about my good friend Jeff Barton who's running for Hays Country Judge.
Solid. Dependable. Honest. Hard-working. Please notice there's not a partisan word there in the bunch. Local government isn't about ideology, it's about getting things done. Things like safe roads, protecting the land and managing growth. It's not about being left or right or blue or red or even green. It's about competence. And I've never met a more competent, caring and conscientious person in my life.
