Editor,
I want to thank Llyod Doggett for voting to get Healthcare Reformed.
I am disabled and live on SSDI, which is not a lot of money. I had to wait for two years for my Medicare to start after receiving my SSDI.
I have diabetes which is a condition that has to be monitored by a doctor and has to be managed by medication.
Going without medical insurance for more than two years I had to depend on a clinic, The Peoples Community Clinic, in Austin.
Without the services I recived there after my employer dropped my medical insurance while I was in a coma, I would have never recovered to a point that I have some resemblance of my life before the accident that disabled me.
With this bill to reform health care, I now have hope that I can be treated by the dcotors I need to stay healthy not just the ones I can afford.
